Dining and Drinks
With more than 250 restaurants on the island, you will always find something that satisfies your craving. Below are a few of the ones we like.
Note: any place in Sea Pines requires you buy a day or week pass to enter the Sea Pines gate.
Great Food. American, Seafood, Cajun & Creole. Nice portions. Reasonable price. No reservations. One of our favorites.
Great place for breakfast. Also serves lunch. Love the corn beef hash.
Skull Creek Boathouse
Great views, menu, and atmosphere. Suchi, seafood, steaks. Gets very crowded and wait times can be long during summer months. Does not take reservations.
Old Oyster Factory
We dine here at least once every trip. One of our favorite dishes is the “Broad Creek Cioppino”. Great deserts. Take reservations.
The Salty Dog
A great outdoor atmosphere and bar. Casual dining. Is a bastion on the island with a nice view. Always have live music when we have been there. There are a lot of shops and a harbor. In Sea Pines.
Good seafood. Another place with nice views, good drinks, fun atmosphere, and live music.
One of the best sunset views on the island. Watching the sunset is magical. Fresh local seafood – 90% of seafood local. They have their own soft shell crab shelling. Also knows for their great fried seafood. Another of our must-do’s every trip. Can get very crowded in summer months. Does not take reservations.
The Jazz Corner
Acclaimed as one of the top 100 Jazz Rooms in the world by Downbeat magazine — it also has great food. There are two dining / concerts nightly at 6:30 and 9:00. If the 9:00 show is not full, you can sometimes get in and watch a show without eating dinner, just have a drink. However, this is risky as we have recently stopped by for a drink and music after having dinner elsewhere, and they were always completely full. Because of its popularity — you should make a reservation. You can find the artist on their website — The Jazz Corner. You will have a truly memorable evening!!
